Leads the vision, strategy, roadmap, and growth of Maropost’s Commerce Cloud platform. Oversees storefront, checkout, catalog, order management, AI, and personalization initiatives while managing Product Managers and Product Owners. Partners with Engineering and cross-functional executives to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes, including adoption, retention, activation, and GMV growth. Requires extensive product leadership experience in commerce, ecommerce infrastructure, retail technology, or B2B SaaS, plus experience building AI-powered product capabilities and scaling product teams.

Build scalable, high-performance backend systems using primarily Golang and Python. Own features end to end, contribute to distributed microservices architecture and system design, develop event-driven components for high-volume messaging and e-commerce workloads, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, support CI/CD deployments, and document technical specifications and APIs.

Build and maintain backend applications in Scala, including refactoring, architecture and API design, SQL schema modeling, message-based systems, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD. Collaborate cross-functionally on technical specifications, infrastructure, process improvements, and continuous learning. The role uses Apache Pulsar, Kubernetes, CircleCI, and ArgoCD, with emphasis on reliable, readable code and backend application development rather than data engineering.

Serve as a force multiplier for the C-suite by driving strategic initiatives, managing leadership cadence, project delivery, Jira-based operational metrics, executive communications, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional change management to increase organizational efficiency and C-suite bandwidth.

Design, build, and operate scalable data engineering services and ingestion pipelines (CDC/streaming). Develop and optimize a centralized analytics warehouse, data models, and aggregation strategies. Build APIs, enforce multi-tenant security and data governance, monitor pipeline health, improve automation and observability, and ensure production reliability through strong engineering practices.
