Your Role and Responsibilities  

We are looking for a new Technical Specialist for Mobile Telephony to join ABB Oy, IS Mobile Telephony Services team in Vaasa, Finland.  

 

In this role, you will apply your skills to deliver reliable mobile services and enhance user experience. You will manage a broad range of activities—from user support and incident resolution to supplier relationship management—while ensuring smooth request fulfillment processes. Your focus will include optimizing cost-to-serve and driving efficiency to reduce operating costs. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with local IT professionals and the ABB global IT community, working closely with business stakeholders to create value and maintain robust mobile telephony capabilities. 
 

The work model for this role is: Hybrid  

 
You will mainly be responsible for:  

  • Resolving user incidents and troubleshooting mobile telephony issues across Finland and Baltic countries 
  • Managing user requests and ensuring smooth order handling  
  • Collaborating with suppliers to resolve service issues, managing escalations, and maintaining agreed service levels 
  • Monitoring supplier performance and customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with contracts 
  • Driving process improvements to reduce costs and enhance service quality 

 

 

Qualifications for the Role  

  •  BSc. or MSc. degree from a suitable field, such as IT, Computer Science, Telematics, Telecommunications or Business Administration 
  • Proven track record of translating business requirements into technical IS capabilities and solutions; enthusiasm for improving the Mobile Telephony experience 
  • Experience working with mobile (telephony) services, preferably in an industrial/corporate setting 
  • Proficient and effective communication skills with working proficiency in Finnish and English  
  • Understanding and preferably experience in managing vendor relationships and driving vendor performance 
  • Ability to manage simultaneous support and incident requests 
  • A customer focused mindset: you are a team player and able to work collaboratively 
  • Proactive mindset to take ownership, drive improvement, and solve problems  
  • Other language skills are seen as a benefit
