Position: Solution Consultant III

Duties: Requires knowledge of industry and environmental factors (for example, market fluctuations, changes in regulatory policies or politics, emerging technology, cultural practices); Common business vernacular; Business practices across the industry and area-specific domains and related practices (for example, eCommerce, commerce platforms); Relevant business metrics, data models, analytics, and reports that assist in decision making. To support the development of business cases and recommendations. Owns the delivery of project activity and tasks assigned by others. Supports process updates and changes. Solves business issues. Understands the relevant data and metrics that impact the business. Competitive technology landscapes; Existing enterprise systems, technologies, and architecture; Domain-specific scripting/compiling/programming languages; Product technical information and configurations; Software design methodologies; Domain-specific market standards in product/platform architecture; Common technologies and environments; Software quality assurance methodologies and tools, processes, and checkpoints. To leverage knowledge of competitor products and industry packages (for example, SAP, Workday, Infor, Coupa) and services, as well as relative strengths and weaknesses. Assesses different programming tools, methodologies, frameworks, and the overarching systems architecture. Understands the programming languages, frameworks, and tools used across multiple products within an assigned domain to make informed discussions with engineering teams, prioritize efforts versus features, and assess the risks of certain features. Owns business and user acceptance testing of simple products/features. Domain-specific methodologies, tools, and processes; Domain-specific products; Domain-specific best practices; Domain-specific market standards in product/platform architecture. To demonstrate awareness of various principles, ways of working, and subdomain-specific terminologies. Compares the maturity of products, services, and processes within a subdomain with others in the industry. Identifies and reports gaps across subdomains for potential innovation opportunities. Demonstrates awareness of new processes and automation techniques used within a domain across industries. Software architecture; Distributed systems; Scalability; Design patterns; Disaster recovery; Technology stacks; Minimum viable product (MVP); Nonfunctional requirements; Telemetry. To identify the required processes, tools and baseline products for configuration, including software, models, plans, and documents for low-complexity projects. Configure new virtual machines to handle email, intranet, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and core business applications/applications running on the cloud. Supports the preparation of documentation under guidance. Configuration management tools and processes; Configuration and release management in environment(s). To perform tests and checks on the connections between disparate application programs. Verifies the proper functioning of modules and applications across multiple or integrated platforms.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
Skills required: Must have experience with: Workday Application; EIB; Workday Business Process framework; Workday Report Writer; Studio; Business Process Design; HR Project Management; Prism Analysis; Workday BIRT Integration; and Workday Inbound and Outbound Integrations. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
