Job Description

The role


This role will define and manage the lifecycle of data products within the Firm. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritising data product features, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions.

You will act as the bridge between business units and technical teams, ensuring that data products align with the Firm's strategic objectives.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Developing and communicating a clear vision for data products.
  • Defining the product strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the data products support the overall data strategy of the Firm.
  • Evaluating and recommending data products that support the delivery of the Firm's strategy.


What you will do


  • Manage all aspects of in-life products in the data portfolio, including product usage and issues.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT, and data governance teams to gather and prioritise requirements for data solutions.
  • Develop the vision and roadmap for the products in the data portfolio.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding data product features and functionalities and facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment and gather feedback.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure the product backlogs for the data portfolio are clearly defined with requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure data products adhere to data governance policies and standards and that data quality is measured and monitored.
  • Identify opportunities to digitize legacy products with an impetus to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in data products.
  • Ensure that appropriate training and support is available to users and stakeholders and that products are adopted.
  • Manage vendor relationships with metric driven monitoring of SLAs, performance and cost.

Qualifications

Your experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Total experience of 12+ years and experience in product management using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for at least 1-2 years, diligently applying Agile principles, practices, and theory.
  • Strong understanding of data product lifecycle management.
  • Good understanding of the SAFe Cadence events: PI Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Experience with data analytics, data visualisation, and data governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certification in product management or agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe) is a plus.
