Leads trade sales initiatives across Goa by developing territory plans, managing retailer and distributor relationships, expanding market share, meeting revenue targets, organizing promotions and training, providing product support, forecasting sales, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating fulfillment and inventory replenishment.
The Territory Manager – Sales (Trade) will lead Legrand's trade sales initiatives across Goa, building and nurturing strong connections with retailers, channel partners, and distributors. You will be responsible for expanding market share, achieving revenue targets, and delivering exceptional service for our electrical and digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with retailers, channel partners, and distributors.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor monitoring to uncover growth opportunities.
- Organize product promotions, trade events, and training sessions for partners.
- Provide technical and product support to channel partners to facilitate sales.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with distributors and key accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, service) to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with distributors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- B.Tech or MBA degree (or equivalent) in engineering, business, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in trade sales, preferably in electrical or digital systems.
- Established network of retailers, channel partners, and distributors in Goa.
- Strong understanding of Legrand product portfolio and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Result‑oriented with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools for sales reporting.
- Fluency in English and the local language (Konkani/Marathi).
- Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
