Technical Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Consultant with a strong background in automation and solution implementation to support our operations team. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of industry experience, excellent consultation skills, and hands-on expertise in Python, FastAPI, Streamlit, and JavaScript. You will work closely with operations stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, design scalable solutions, and implement them using modern technologies.

We are seeking a Technical Consultant (Lead Application Engineer) with strong data interpretation, coding, and application development skills. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain AI-powered applications, with a focus on leveraging LLMs and modern frameworks.

• Data Understanding & Manipulation
  • Interpret and analyze complex datasets to derive insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills (nested formulas, pivot tables, macros).
  • Work with data interchange formats (JSON, XML).
  • Should be good at data cleaning, validation, transformation, and manipulation (data handling skills) using any of the platforms/languages like R or Python or SQL or Excel.
• Core Coding Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Python with solid understanding of OOP concepts.
  • Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented functions and scripts.
  • Follow best practices in coding, testing, and version control (Git).
• Application Development
  • Build and maintain backend APIs (preferably with FastAPI; Django/Flask optional).
  • Basic front-end development (Streamlit; React is a plus).
  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Work with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is desirable.
• Generative AI
  • Able to develop GenAI applications using LangChain or similar frameworks. Simple usecase is also fine.
  • Understand LLMs, prompt engineering, and API integrations with AI models.
  • Good to have: experience with vector databases (e.g., ChromaDB, FAISS) and RAG pipelines.
  • Should be aware of AI Fundamentals
• Optional Domain Knowledge
  • Market Research (MR) domain knowledge and familiarity with primary data research lifecycle.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with ML basics is a plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices in API and data handling.
