Honeywell's Value Engineering (VE) and Component Engineering (CE) Center of Excellence (COE) is a dynamic collective of professionals dedicated to refining product development through innovative engineering and strategic component selection. Working in tandem with GBE's Engineering and Procurement teams, the VE/CE COE is a global entity tasked with the critical mission of enhancing product margins and driving productivity, thereby securing Honeywell's competitive edge in the global market. Our mandate spans across all Strategic Business Groups (SBGs), except for AERO, ensuring that value engineering and component engineering principles are consistently applied to deliver tangible savings and superior products. As a hub of flexibility and rapid adaptation, the VE/CE COE is Honeywell's strategic response to the "ever-evolving" marketplace demands.
Position Description:
- As a Sr. Procurement Project Management Specialist, you will have a strong understanding of project management activities, including the end-to-end project management process in a fast-paced, complex business environment.
- You will work within a team of collaborative colleagues, working on high-impact projects that move the business forward.
- You will help your team meet deadlines, track, monitor, and summarize the progress of projects, and prepare reports for senior leadership regarding the status of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, drive, and execute CE Transition / Supplier Transition projects, sourcing cost reduction projects in a cross-functional environment, working with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and OM to ensure project execution (meet deadlines) and implementation. Drive and execute the CE transition projects in a cross-functional environment
- Initiatives of projects include supplier transfer to high-growth regions, supply base optimization, supply risk mitigation, and value engineering changes, among others.
- This position is responsible for building a solid pipeline of projects through new ideas development and strong cooperation with the procurement organization.
- Development of solid business cases and execution of projects, productivity tracking until the project is implemented.
- Perform risk management to identify and minimize issues in project execution.
- Establish a relationship with stakeholders on the GBE, and escalate project barriers and delays.
- Lead productivity workshops to increase the pipeline of projects to close the gap.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- B.E/ B.Tech , M.E/ M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 6+ Supplier Transition Project Manager/Strategic Sourcing/Supply Chain areas/commodity sourcing
- Experience in Value engineering and Component Engineering. Knowledge of Component Engineering methodologies.
- Good Business Communication skills: Interacts with Partners at global locations, local team members & management stakeholders and customers for capturing requirements.
- Works with all the stakeholders to ensure that technical objectives are met with the given project/program constraints. Active participation in the project planning/execution phases for technical risk management. Understanding of product certification requirements.
- Experience working in a global Team Environment
- Project Management and/or Contract Management Experience
- Good decision-making; uses analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment in making sound decisions
- Global Sourcing experience
- Problem solving skill set
- English Proficient

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically but detailed oriented to support ideology with facts
