Sr Attorney

You will report directly to our Assistant General Counsel, PT and will be based in our Gurgaon, India location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will support the business with commercial contracting activities and related compliance needs. You will help ensure contracts align with Honeywell policies and applicable requirements, and work with internal stakeholders to support timely, practical outcomes.

This role will primarily support Honeywell’s Process Technology portfolio, with the opportunity to assist on additional matters across the Honeywell business as needed.

• Draft, review, and support negotiation of standard and non‑standard commercial contracts and related documents (including technology license and alliance agreements), using approved templates and guidance.
• Identify and highlight contractual risks, including deviations from standard terms, policies, or playbooks, and escalate key issues for review and approval.
• Support the Assistant General Counsel with contract administration, matter tracking, and coordination of internal reviews, helping ensure alignment with applicable laws and company policies.
• Provide legal and commercial input on contract issues and support risk mitigation activities in line with established policies, templates, and guidance.
• Support negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners by preparing drafts, redlines, and issue summaries, and partnering with stakeholders to progress deals while protecting Honeywell’s interests.
• Support the team in preventing, managing, and resolving commercial disputes, including coordinating inputs and maintaining records.
• Support audits, reviews, and internal controls, including compliance checks and responses to internal or external inquiries, with guidance from senior team members.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting updates to templates and playbooks and helping share contracting best practices with stakeholders.

• 4-6 years of experience practicing law.
• Experience with contract law and commercial terms and conditions. 
• Ability to support complex agreements involving IP licensing and technology transfer. Prior experience in Oil and Gas sector would be a plus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• LL.B/LL.M from a reputed university 
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting legal risk management and compliance activities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
