Department OverviewThe Unified Communications team has a mission to become the leader in creating a highly scalable software platform and communication applications for first responders and industrial workgroups. Our customers rely on these solutions to run their critical business operations in the public safety, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors. Every single day, we are shaping the future of mobile workgroup solutions for public safety and industrial users worldwide leveraging Motorola’s rich heritage in this space. Our solutions include broadband Push to Talk (PTT), multimedia messaging, location based collaboration, video streaming with full interoperability with land mobile radio (LMR) systems. The products include client apps on Android, iOS, and Windows. Our backend software can be deployed On-Prem, in private data centers, or in a public cloud infrastructure.
Job Description

1.Perform the duties of DevOps Analyst as needed to ensure smooth operation of CI/CD. Champion Development Best Practices to minimize CI/CD interruptions due to source control bugs from commits.

2.Develop and maintain DevOps automation tools to improve reliability of CI/CD workflows. Prioritize tasks and coordinate with team members and project management to minimize impact of issues and schedule improvements.

3.Modernize build infrastructure and tools to improve security, reliability, and orchestration of the build environment. Secure CI/CD workflows and maintain secrets to keep up with the changing industry standards.

4.Assist development team with build and CI/CD related issues and resolve or identify and prioritize work items to implement required changes.

Basic Requirements

1. 5+ Years Experience on Devops/Jenkins/Scripting/Git/Build Automation

2. Understanding of DevOps and Build Automation principles and development best practices.

3. Knowledge of source control activities (Git) and related development and automation workflows.

4.Experience with Linux and Windows OS and the command line tools.

5.Experience with the following DevOps and related Automation Tools to support CI/CD workflows. This includes: Jenkins/Groovy, Git, Python, Powershell, Bash and Window batch. Experience coding with C, C++ or C# using build orchestration and related tools (CMake, Scons, Visual Studio/msbuild, and Makefile).
