Job Summary:
As a Quant Analytics at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking- Data and Analytics, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to effective quantitative problem-solving and analytical research for key pricing initiatives. Demonstrate a deep understanding of pricing business and data analytical techniques, being well-versed in analytical research, experimentation, and empirical work.
- Conduct hypothesis testing and apply advanced experimental design techniques, designing and executing A/B tests and multivariate tests to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and post-performance outcomes.
- Utilize experience in customer segmentation, profiling, clustering analysis, inferential statistics, data mining, and experimental design techniques.
- Adopt a consulting mindset to identify opportunity areas for driving profitability through analytical recommendations.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and drive key analytics to help the SLT Team understand the efficacy of pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define success metrics, and deliver actionable insights.
- Design and implement highly scalable and reliable data analytics processes, performing analysis and insights to drive and optimize business results.
- Leverage banking experience in one or more US consumer credit portfolios (e.g., U.S. Mortgage, Home Equity, Credit Card, Automotive, Lease, Business Banking).
- Apply knowledge of finance processes, especially pricing and macroeconomics. Exhibit strong technical and statistical skills, synthesizing data and communicating to leadership concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain focused attention to detail, being analytical and inquisitive with high standards for quality and accuracy.
- Summarize complex ideas, including technical and statistical concepts, in business-friendly language. Translate business themes into quantitative and analytical action items.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Qualified graduate / Post-Graduation degree in a quantitative discipline; Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or Machine learning related field
- 7+ years of related experience in Analytics, preferably with financial services firms and/or from top banks and consulting firms
- Strong Statistical Knowledge preferably with practical experience in conducting controlled experiments - A/B Tests, Causal Inference, Synthetic Control, Diff in Diff tests etc.
- Should have a very good understanding of IT processes and databases. Should be able to work directly with data owners/custodians and contribute in building analytics data hub
- Hands on Analytics expert experienced in delivering Analytics projects/products in the financial services domain , involving large and complex data sets in an individual contributor capacity
- Master data storyteller with an ability to identify needles in the haystack and use Data Intelligence to draw actionable insights and make persuasive recommendations to senior stakeholders across different lines of business
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage and deliver in an innovation-driven and fast-paced environment.
- Leadership drive, ability to analyze problems, design solutions, and communicate effectively and confidently with relevant stakeholders to influence and gain buy-in across various job functions.
- Strong grasp on marketing, Pricing strategy fundamentals of consumer banking business
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical details, observations and inferences into business language
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience in working in Agile working environment with strong communication
- Credit Card Domain and Pricing Business knowledge preferred
- Experience in working on automation tools like selenium and Alteryx preferred.
- Hands-on experience writing code and automating processes to source, transform and analyze data from multiple sources including structured and unstructured data preferred.
- Solid programming skills in SAS/Python or R language is preferred
