Primary Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
- Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap aligned to payer business priorities and customer needs
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, release plans, and clearly defined outcomes/KPIs
- Identify opportunities using market research, competitive insights, and stakeholder discovery; incorporate regulatory and operational constraints typical to payer environments
- End-to-End Product Lifecycle Leadership
- Own product lifecycle activities: discovery, requirements definition, backlog prioritization, delivery, launch readiness, and post-launch optimization
- Write high-quality PRDs/user stories and acceptance criteria; guide solution tradeoffs with engineering and data science partners (value, feasibility, risk)
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery and continuous iteration based on real-world performance
- Data & AI Product Leadership (Payer Context)
- Shape AI/analytics capabilities that improve payer workflows (e.g., forecasting, risk stratification, care gap closure, claims/payment integrity, provider network optimization). (Suggested tailoring for payer analytics scope; keep/remove based on your portfolio.)
- Collaborate with data science teams on experimentation, model/product validation, monitoring, and value realization; define product telemetry and success metrics
- Ensure product decisions are data-driven and measurable; monitor usage and client outcomes to inform prioritization
- Stakeholder & Customer Leadership
- Act as the voice of the user (internal operators, clinicians/care teams, providers, members, employer groups-depending on product)
- Lead executive and stakeholder communication on roadmap, tradeoffs, risks, and outcomes; drive alignment across business and technical teams
- Team Leadership & Product Management Excellence
- Lead, mentor, and develop product managers and/or product owners; establish strong product practices and operating rhythms
- Promote disciplined execution (Agile ceremonies, backlog hygiene, release readiness), and transparent reporting using modern product tools
- Compliance, Privacy & Responsible Use
- Embed privacy/security-by-design and healthcare compliance into product requirements; partner with compliance/legal/security to manage risk

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of product management experience (enterprise, SaaS, platform, analytics, or digital products)
- 3+ years in a people leadership role (leading PMs/POs or cross-functional product pods)
- Experience partnering closely with engineering and data science teams; strong ability to translate between business goals and technical execution
- Demonstrated solid analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable influencing at executive levels
- Demonstrated success owning roadmaps and delivering products end-to-end with measurable business impact
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA/MS) a plus (product, analytics, health informatics, or related)
- Experience building AI-enabled products: experimentation, model performance monitoring, iteration, and responsible AI practices
- Experience in healthcare payer domain (claims, enrollment, benefits, provider networks, care management, payment policy, risk adjustment, quality measures)
- Familiarity with healthcare data and interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR/HL7/X12) and payer regulatory considerations (e.g., HIPAA-related requirements)
