About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Bengaluru team and help continuously improve the quality of Availity’s product portfolio. In this role, you will build and enhance test automation frameworks, create robust automated tests using Selenium, Cucumber BDD, and Java, and support functional, regression, integration, API, and microservices testing. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, product owners, and system analysts to improve test coverage, resolve defects, strengthen test stability, and deliver reliable, customer-focused releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Build new test automation frameworks and enhance existing solutions using Selenium, Cucumber BDD, and Java.
- Develop and maintain Gherkin feature files, step definitions, and reliable automated test suites.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and microservices testing to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to define acceptance criteria, troubleshoot automation failures, and deliver stable, high-quality releases.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years in test automation.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber BDD, Java, and Gherkin.
- Experience with CI/CD environments, Git workflows, REST API testing, and microservices testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience developing or improving test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Familiarity with executing automation in distributed environments.
- Ability to contribute to test resilience, acceptance criteria, and continuous quality improvements.
