Under the overall guidance of the Chief Operating Officer, the
Program Analyst will support in consolidation of program inputs, generate and manage
program MIS, generate reports and visual
dashboards, and support program reviews, tracking and coordination across
missions and states.
Key duties and responsibilities
· Design, maintain and improve MIS
for key projects and missions, ensuring timely and accurate data flow from
states and mission heads to the management.
· Develop and maintain trackers and
databases for program outputs, outcomes and financials.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly and
annual MIS reports and dashboards (using Excel, PowerPoint and other tools),
highlighting performance against indicators, budgets and targets.
· Develop analytics around program trends,
deviations and insights for program review meetings.
· Support program review processes
by compiling data, preparing summaries and flagging key issues emerging from
MIS and dashboards.
· Maintain and update action‑point and follow‑up trackers in coordination with program teams to ensure closure
within agreed timelines.
· Ensure relevant reports,
dashboards and background notes are ready in advance of key review meetings and
visits.
· Assist program personnel with MIS
tools and templates, including data entry checks, validation and use of
standard reporting formats.
· Check quality of data received
from multiple locations for completeness, consistency and correctness before
consolidation.
· Organise and maintain digital
folders and archives of MIS, reports and key correspondence for easy retrieval
by management.
· Any other tasks that may be assigned
by the management from time to time.
Requirements
Required qualifications and experience
· University degree, preferably in
Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field.
· 3–5 years’ of experience in MIS,
data management and reporting roles, preferably in development/NGO settings or
large multi‑location
programs.
· Proven experience of working
extensively with Excel for reporting and dashboarding, and supporting senior
leadership with data and reviews.
· Experience in designing tools and
strategies for data collection, analysis and report preparation is preferred.
· Language: Fluency in written and
spoken English and Hindi.
Competencies
and skills
· Strong expertise in MS Office
applications, particularly Microsoft
Excel
· Understanding of MIS concepts and
comfort with designing data collection and reporting templates; familiarity
with program/M&E indicators is an advantage.
· Ability to translate program
instructions and frameworks into practical trackers and dashboards.
· High degree of organisation and
ability to manage multiple tasks and reporting deadlines.
· Strong coordination skills with
capacity to follow up independently with state and mission heads.
· Excellent written and oral
communication skills.
· Discretion and ability to maintain
confidentiality of sensitive program and management information.
