Job Description Summary:

The Principal People Operations Partner is responsible for executing and optimizing core people processes in India across all aspects of people operations. This hands-on role is supported by a People Operations Partner. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will provide tactical guidance on people-related matters while collaborating cross-functionally to enhance the employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle. Additionally, this role will also lead on regional and global projects to further improve the employee and manager experience, efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

  • Oversee all People Operations activities in India, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead a local People Operations Partner. Act as a role model, setting high performance standards for People Operations practices and development.
  • Champion the company’s culture and values of Empathy, Humanity, Love, and Trust, embedding them in all People initiatives.

People Operations and Compliance

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to our senior leaders, providing guidance on people-related policies, procedures, best practices and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Partner closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs), including Total Rewards, Global People Business Partners, & HRIS, to align and execute People Operations initiatives.
  • Leverage business acumen and People Operations insights to influence decision-making. Analyze key People metrics for your region to drive data-informed decision-making and accountability.
  • Maintain and continuously improve People policies and processes, aligning them with local labor laws and HR standards.
  • Manage employee lifecycle events in coordination with Global People Business Partners and cross-functional partners in Payroll, Benefits, and Ops, and facilitate necessary transactions in Workday, including job changes, global relocation, and offboarding
  • Support performance management initiatives, including goal setting and annual review cycles, to promote a high-performing teams culture.

Employee Experience & Process Improvement

  • Provide hands-on People support to employees and managers, ensuring a positive workplace experience.
  • Resolve employe relations matters in a pragmatic, compliant, and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Lead and support regional/global People projects that enhance efficiency and improve the employee experience and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in People data management,
  • Identify inefficiencies in People processes and implement scalable process improvements.
  • Continuously assess and align People policies with business needs, fostering a fair, compliant, and supportive workplace.

Experience and Qualifications

Experience:

  • 11+ years of experience as a People Partner or in a related People Operations function.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, international, and matrixed environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and compliance best practices
  • Demonstrated success in leading global projects and implementing scalable process improvements.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven ability to influence leaders and drive people strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in organizational development, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
