The Pricing Analyst I will support pricing activities, financial analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across client opportunities and existing programs. This is a junior-level role suited to someone with strong analytical skills who is comfortable working with large datasets and interested in developing their experience in pricing and commercial finance.
The role will focus on preparing pricing analyses, maintaining financial models, building dashboards, and automating recurring reports. The Pricing Analyst I will work closely with senior pricing team members and cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Solution Design, Delivery, Finance, and HR.
Key ResponsibilitiesPricing and Commercial Support- Support the preparation of pricing models, quotations, rate cards, and client proposals under the guidance of senior pricing team members.
- Gather, organize, and validate pricing inputs such as headcount, compensation, utilization, expenses, volumes, and delivery locations.
- Assist with commercial models, including Time and Materials, Fixed Price, and volume-based pricing.
- Perform basic scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of changes in volumes, costs, rates, utilization, and other pricing assumptions.
- Review pricing submissions for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with established approval requirements.
- Maintain documentation of pricing assumptions, approvals, and model changes.
- Support the preparation of pricing materials and summaries for internal stakeholder discussions.
- Work with large datasets from multiple sources to prepare pricing, revenue, cost, and margin analyses.
- Clean, consolidate, validate, and reconcile data to improve its accuracy and usability.
- Analyze historical pricing and financial data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential areas for improvement.
- Support revenue, cost of goods sold, headcount, expense, and gross-margin reporting.
- Assist with variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgets, forecasts, and pricing assumptions.
- Develop and track relevant pricing and financial KPIs.
- Prepare clear summaries of analytical findings for management and other stakeholders.
- Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Automate recurring reports and manual data-processing activities using tools such as Power Query, Excel, SQL, or other approved automation solutions.
- Assist in developing standardized scorecards, reporting templates, and executive-level summaries.
- Identify opportunities to simplify reporting processes, reduce manual work, and improve data accessibility.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective dashboards and analytical outputs.
- Perform quality checks to ensure automated reports and dashboards are accurate and reliable.
- Use approved AI tools, such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms, to support research, summarize information, document processes, and improve analytical workflows.
- Explore appropriate uses of AI to streamline repetitive tasks and improve reporting efficiency.
- Validate all AI-generated outputs before using them in financial models, reports, or business decisions.
- Follow company requirements regarding confidentiality, data security, responsible AI use, and the handling of client information.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across pricing models, reporting, data management, and team processes.
- Work with Sales, Finance, Solution Design, Delivery, and HR to collect and validate pricing and financial inputs.
- Communicate data requirements, assumptions, timelines, and outstanding items clearly.
- Respond to routine reporting and analytical requests from internal stakeholders.
- Escalate data inconsistencies, missing information, and pricing risks to senior team members.
- Participate in pricing reviews and stakeholder meetings, providing supporting analysis when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- One to three years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or a related area. Relevant internships or graduate experience may also be considered.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, conditional formulas, data validation, and basic financial modeling.
- Experience working with large datasets and combining information from multiple sources.
- Practical experience with Power BI, Tableau, or another data-visualization platform.
- Familiarity with Power Query, SQL, or similar data-transformation and querying tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify data inconsistencies.
- Basic understanding of revenue, costs, margins, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ability to organize work effectively and manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn pricing methodologies, commercial models, financial modeling, and reporting automation.
- Experience building automated dashboards or recurring management reports.
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT.
- Experience using AI or automation tools to improve analytical and reporting workflows.
- Basic knowledge of Python, DAX, VBA, or other automation technologies.
- Exposure to professional services, technology services, managed services, outsourcing, or project-based pricing.
