DeepSource Technologies is looking for an OCI Cloud Operations Engineer to manage, optimize, and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments in Riyadh, KSA. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of OCI services, cloud architecture, and best practices for cloud management and operations. This role requires a proactive, analytical problem solver who can ensure operational excellence and security in our cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- OCI Management
- Administer and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimizing cloud resources.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for cloud-based applications and services.
- Implement and manage OCI identity and access policies to ensure security and compliance.
- Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify performance issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve OCI service issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Automation & Scripting
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate resource provisioning and management.
- Develop scripts using Python, Terraform, or Ansible for automating routine tasks.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of cloud architecture, resources, and operational procedures.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into the performance and costs of cloud resources.
- Collaboration & Client Support
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business needs and operational requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding cloud-related challenges.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including compute, networking, storage, and security services.
- Proficient in OCI management tools and best practices.
- Thorough understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, VCNs, and security lists.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Certifications:
- Oracle Cloud certification (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate) is highly preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud operations, specifically with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience in implementing and managing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions in OCI.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
- Knowledge of container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices for service management.
