The Manager of Procurement will lead contract negotiations for renewable energy projects, manage procurement for Wind and Solar projects, and coordinate with various teams to ensure project alignment and risk management.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for renewable energy projects, could be wind, solar, storage.
- Lead and negotiate Land Development Agreements and Evaluate potential Land developers, land aggregators for wind, solar and hybrid projects
- Lead and negotiate key commercial contracts for Balance of Plant (BOP), and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts for renewable energy projects.
- Drive end-to-end procurement for Wind projects covering BOP, E&C services, cranes, and other project‑specific equipment
- Manage procurement for Solar projects including modules, BOS packages with Split contracting strategies for Solar EPC
- Coordinate closely with Project, Legal, and Finance teams to support simultaneous land acquisition and development activities, ensuring commercial and contractual alignment.
- Conduct techno commercial evaluations and supplier benchmarking to bring cost competitiveness
- Participate actively in cross‑functional and project review meetings to:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement and commercial risks
- Track procurement schedules aligned with project milestones and resolve delivery risks proactively
- Ensure optimal utilization of organizational resources across multiple projects
- Independently manage multiple procurement packages and schedules while meeting cost, quality, and timeline objectives.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards
- Build and maintain strong supplier and contract relationships.
Prerequisites & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience handling large scale Capex procurement
- 10+ years of experience in procurement for Wind, Solar, and/or BESS projects, including hands‑on exposure to Land Development Agreements.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
