[What the role is]
Digital infrastructure enables the increasing digitalization of businesses and contributes to the growth of Singapore’s digital economy, facilitated through a combination of physical and virtual technologies that include telecommunication services which are key to the delivery of digital products and services. As a Senior Manager/ Manager, you will assist in the development and implementation of policies and masterplans aimed at improving Singapore’s connectivity infrastructure. The role will also support IMDA’s vision of building a vibrant, world class info-communications sector that drives the Digital Economy.[What you will be working on]
Continuously Masterplan Singapore’s Digital Infrastructure as a strategic pillar, such that it is world-leading, cutting edge, best-in-class and future-ready, to support Singapore’s Digital Hub growth and ambition:
- Advance IMDA’s interests at various Whole-of-Government committees/platforms for future growth requirements, while considering and balancing resource trade-offs.
- Contribute to strategic WOG discussions and help to ensure that Singapore's Digital Hub continues to grow and stay competitive.
- Drive industry adoption of best-in-class technologies and practices for resource optimisation and sustainability and facilitate industry efficiency and innovation.
- Work with stakeholders in industry and government agencies, and external partners to ensure alignment with best practices and emerging trends in digital infrastructure.
- Facilitate the implementation of telecom and connectivity infrastructure to ensure sufficient connectivity capacity and resilience, and to provide robust, seamless and future-ready connectivity infrastructure, in support of Singapore’s Digital growth and ambitions
[What we are looking for]
- Background in Engineering, Information Systems, or Business with good working knowledge in Infocomm sectors, and/or knowledge of regulatory concepts and frameworks would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of telecom and digital infrastructure landscape.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, knowledge or expertise on digital infrastructure/resource planning (e.g. for telecom), policy development and/or implementation.
- Strong creative thinking, data analytical skills/experience.
- Strong presentation, written and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team, in a fast-paced work environment, and deliver under tight timelines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
This position will commensurate with experience.
