[What the role is]
Digital infrastructure is critical enabler for increasing digitalization of businesses and contribute to the growth of digital economy of Singapore. Digital infrastructure is manifested through combination of physical and virtual technologies that span domains of compute, storage, network, cloud platforms and artificial intelligence (AI). As a member of the Digital Infrastructure team, you will be applying your expertise in the development of digital infrastructure and related market/policy insights, applicable policies and governance/guidelines to ensure our digital infrastructure continues to grow in a sustainable manner and provides competitive access to businesses and supporting ecosystem.[What you will be working on]
- Conduct scans, analyse, map, track, and develop analysis/insights on sustainability, market development, best practices, guidelines and governance frameworks of digital infrastructure ecosystem and capability developments locally and internationally, with a focus on data centres (DCs) and AI
- Perform detailed data analysis of DCs operating parameters and develop projection model(s) on resource utilisation
- Develop, review, implement and refine policies, governance/guidelines strategies/frameworks for DCs and related digital infrastructure
- Engage and conduct industry consultations/reviews on DCs related frameworks/policies
- Engage DC industry on co-development/co-solutioning to complement/address concerns on sustainability, market development and dependency considerations
- Advance IMDA’s interests on data centres and related digital infrastructure at various Whole-of-Government platforms.
[What we are looking for]
- Background in Computer/Software Engineering (or equivalent)
- Good grasp and understanding of digital infrastructure landscape
- At least 4 years of relevant experience, knowledge or expertise on DCs, Cloud and/or digital infrastructure policy development and/or implementation
- Strong knowledge and experience on DCs, Cloud and/or digital infrastructure related technologies, operations and/or sustainability development a plus
- Strong data analytical skills or strong experience in business/data analytics a plus
- Strong written and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work as a team in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
