Key Purpose of the Role

The Portfolio Strategy and Marketing Innovation role is focused on creating customer-centric strategies by identifying opportunities and consumer need states. This role involves analyzing the current portfolio against market opportunities and developing strategies from an outside-in perspective. This position primarily drives the idea-to-launch process for new products and early brand creation, contributing significantly to the company’s marketing capabilities.

Key Responsibility Areas

Customer-Centric Strategy Development: Create and implement strategies that are deeply rooted in consumer insights, focusing on identifying unmet needs and opportunities to drive growth.

Portfolio Analysis and Optimization: Analyze the current product portfolio against ideal market opportunities, utilizing an outside-in perspective to develop strategies that enhance market position.

Innovation Pipeline Creation: Aid in building an innovation pipeline focused on white spaces and adjacencies, contributing to the identification and development of new products aligned with the plan.

Idea-to-Launch Process: Drive the end-to-end process of bringing new product ideas from concept to market launch, including early-stage brand creation and positioning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, and Sales, to ensure that strategies and innovation initiatives are successfully executed and aligned with consumer needs.

Work Experience: Minimum 18 years in brand/ category development, leadership roles in Consumer Industry, with working experience of building brands from concept to nascent success.  In similarly reputed, matrixed and multinational organizations.
