Wolters Kluwer requires Lead Enterprise Architects to have technical breadth and depth across multiple technical domains such as cloud infrastructure (Public/Private), network, security, automation, and storage. You will be required to translate highly technical and complex subjects to business and senior stakeholders, whilst engaging, steering, and guiding the aligned architects and engineers in delivering their architecture definitions. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to the broader technical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, DevSecOps, automation, and architectural principles.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Uses appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas.
- Produces detailed component specifications and translates these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
- Assists in preparing technical plans and cooperates with business assurance and project staff to ensure appropriate technical resources are available.
- Provides advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security) are applied correctly.
- Develop and communicate a strategic vision for IT systems architecture, integrating DevSecOps principles to enhance agility, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with other architects across the organization to align IT initiatives, share best practices, and drive consistency in architecture design and implementation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement. Lead by example in adopting best practices and innovative approaches.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the performance and scalability of IT systems, implementing solutions to enhance reliability and responsiveness.
- Ensure that DevSecOps practices adhere to security best practices and regulatory requirements, proactively addressing security vulnerabilities and risks.
- Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and considers target environment, performance security requirements, and existing systems. Delivers technical visualization of proposed applications for approval by customers and execution by system developers.
- Create and review comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress and key milestones.
- Takes responsibility for implementation projects, providing effective team leadership, including information flow to and from the customer during project work.
- Develops and implements quality plans and method statements. Monitors the effectiveness of implementation and ensures that appropriate recommendations for change are made.
- Implements stakeholder engagement/communications plans. Uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management. Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT architecture, and integrate relevant innovations into the company's systems.
- Actively pursue continuous education opportunities and demonstrate knowledge with IT certifications.

Job Qualifications & Experience:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect with a focus on DevSecOps, including designing and implementing secure, resilience scalable systems
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks and infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices Expert proficiency in cloud computing technologies and architectures (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience implementing security controls and compliance standards (e.g. NIST CSF, OWASP, CIS Benchmarks, FedRamp, GDPR, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF Certified)
- DevSecOps certification (e.g., Certified DevSecOps Engineer)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience working in specific domains or industry (e.g., Tax, Health, Legal, Governance Risk, Finance, etc.)
