We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal with strong expertise in UK Immigration, Family Law, and Asylum Law. The role will support legal professionals in managing immigration matters, preparing case documentation, conducting legal research, coordinating with clients, and ensuring cases progress efficiently and accurately.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience handling UK immigration matters and a strong understanding of the documentation, procedures, evidence requirements, and case-management processes involved in immigration and related family or asylum matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal support across UK immigration, family law, and asylum law matters.
• Assist with the preparation and management of UK immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documentation.
• Review client information and documentation for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
• Conduct legal and case-specific research relating to UK immigration rules, procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Assist solicitors and legal professionals with family-based immigration matters, including applications involving spouses, partners, children, and dependants.
• Support asylum and protection-related cases by organising evidence, preparing case chronologies, and assisting with supporting documentation.
• Prepare case summaries, legal correspondence, document checklists, application forms, and other case materials.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain required information, evidence, declarations, and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate and well-organised electronic and physical case files.
• Track application deadlines, appointments, hearings, submissions, and other important case milestones.
• Assist with preparing bundles and evidence packages for immigration and related legal proceedings.
• Review documents for inconsistencies, missing information, or potential issues and escalate concerns to the supervising legal professional.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding documentation, case progress, and outstanding requirements.
• Monitor changes to UK immigration rules, procedures, guidance, and relevant legal developments.
• Support case-management systems and ensure timely updating of matter records.
• Coordinate with internal legal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive client information professionally.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 3+ years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Immigration Caseworker, or similar legal support role.
• Strong practical knowledge of UK Immigration Law and procedures.
• Experience handling family law and family-based immigration matters.
• Exposure to UK Asylum Law, asylum applications, evidence preparation, and related casework.
• Strong understanding of immigration documentation, application processes, deadlines, and case-management requirements.
• Excellent legal research, document-review, drafting, and case-preparation skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and missing information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when dealing with clients and legal professionals.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines in a structured manner.
• Strong organisational skills and proficiency with digital case-management and documentation tools.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive client information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to case preparation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with solicitors and wider legal teams.
• A strong interest in UK Immigration, Family Law, and Asylum Law with a commitment to maintaining current legal knowledge.
