Oversees and delivers employee and supervisor training, analyzes training needs, supports annual and departmental training plans, coaches employees, monitors new-hire progress, prepares reports and audits, maintains training policies and facilities, and assists with corporate programs and administrative projects.
Purpose: Under the
general guidance of the L&D Manager or his delegate, and
within the limits of company policies, procedures, oversees,
directs and provides training
for all employees and supervisors in the company.
Duties and
responsibilities:
- Analyzes training needs and
prioritizes such needs for Training Manager to review.
- Assists in the development of the
annual training plan and provides advice to departmental
trainers in their preparation of departmental training
plans.
- Conducts routine
training eg: Grooming and Appearance, Guest Service, and related
technical training.
- Observes standards in operations.
Coaches and guide employees in the areas for improvement
based on observation.
- Collects
and submits Training Plans (SOP). Conducts training
according to schedule.
- Monitors
and evaluates training progress of all new hires.
- Assists in the preparation of
monthly training reports.
- Assists in the monthly and annual
training audits.
- Assist other departments to
organize their training, by providing when possible,
training room space, training equipment and providing
training advice.
- Assists the Training Manager in
maintaining the Policies and Procedures of the Company.
- Reviews training policies and
procedures and recommends improvements to the training
manager.
- Assists in the
development and implementation of corporate programmes.
- Establishes and maintains
effective staff relations.
- Ensures the cleanliness and
efficiency of all training equipment and rooms and makes
recommendation for improvement / change as necessary, prepared
for all training.
- Maintains all administration as
directed by the L&D Manager
- Performs related duties and
special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Skillset Required: -
- Excellent communication
skills
- A degree or
diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management is
a must.
- Eye for
Detail.
- Interface with other
departments (teamwork )
- Positive
attitude
- Good
operational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
are a must, and banqueting experience will
be an added advantage.
