The Role
The Finance Associate (FA) will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate closely with the finance team to support a range of accounting and financial tasks. This role will primarily focus on maintaining accurate books of accounts, reconciling expenses, reviewing invoices and travel expense reports, and assisting with payment processing. The role requires strong attention to detail and collaboration with internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of financial processes and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Routine Finance & Accounting Functions- Execute daily finance and accounting activities in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Financial Process Improvement- Implement financial procedures to enhance various accounting processes and ensure accuracy.
- Bookkeeping & Vendor Invoices- Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally software, process vendor invoices, and manage employee reimbursements, ensuring compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
- Expense Report Oversight- Review and verify monthly expense reports from all office locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Invoice Processing- Obtain the necessary approvals and reviews from relevant teams before processing invoices for payment across all office locations.
- Vendor & Tax Compliance- Ensure timely statutory deductions and compliance with TDS, GST, Income Tax, Provident Fund, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other applicable laws.
- Employee & Consultant Advances- Track and reconcile advances against employee or consultant expense reports, with regular updates on all office locations.
- Vendor & Asset Management- Maintain vendor reconciliation, fixed asset register, and GST input tax reconciliations, ensuring vendors provide necessary documentation for GST Input Tax Credit.
- Reporting Support: Assist the Manager- Finance in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
- Invoice Upload & Record Maintenance- Upload invoices to accounting software according to the Payment Approval List and maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents.
- Cross-Functional Coordination- Maintain effective communication and coordination with teams at various office locations to meet financial reporting and operational needs.
- General Support: Provide assistance to the Manager- Finance in daily accounting activities and contribute to other financial tasks as assigned.
Essential
- Post Graduate/ M. Com/ MBA (Finance)/ CA Dropout with minimum 4-5 years of experience in reputed organization
- Should have good knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, Professional Tax and other applicable laws
- At least 4 years’ experience in computing, filing, recording and payment of TDS/ Income tax and other statutory compliances including GST
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience in TALLY accounting software, Computax or any other software for handling GST and TDS returns and reconciliations
- Must be able to work independently and under supervision with the team to meet the deadlines
