At Micron's Clay, New York site, you will help support a historic expansion that is shaping the future of memory technology.
As a Dry System Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering critical facility systems that support semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will provide technical leadership and oversight of external engineering partners, helping ensure dry mechanical systems are designed to meet performance, safety, quality, and compliance requirements. This is an opportunity to influence complex facility projects while working with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate third-party engineering firms in the design of process exhaust, HVAC, make-up air handling, and cleanroom systems
  • Review and validate design deliverables, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and system layouts
  • Evaluate system performance metrics such as flow rates, pressure requirements, thermal efficiency, and reliability
  • Develop and maintain design standards, construction specifications, and operational requirements
  • Partner with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure system integration, quality, compliance, and project alignment

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting mechanical systems for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data center, or other advanced technology facilities
  • Experience reviewing mechanical system designs and ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency using BIM tools for design coordination, clash detection, and system integration
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with facilities, manufacturing, engineering, and external partners

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing or coordinating work performed by third-party engineering or design firms
  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial or high-tech facility design and construction projects
  • Ability to lead cross-functional alignment across engineering, construction, operations, and vendor teams
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency in engineering design, data analysis, and design review activities

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$98,000.00 - $166,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
