Manage and support enterprise Cassandra databases for critical 24/7 applications. Responsibilities include configuring nodes and clusters, designing data models, administering multi-datacenter environments, monitoring and performance tuning, supporting migrations, and troubleshooting distributed-system issues. The role requires expertise in Cassandra internals, security, connectivity, and cluster operations, plus ETL of structured and unstructured data using Cassandra utilities or Spark.

3+ years of Cassandra DBA experience in managing critical 24/7 applications.
- Hands-on experience with Cassandra database hosted on premise.
- Setup Nodes, Work on Foundations, Data Models, etc.
- Implement a Cassandra Database in an enterprise, Design and Support data migration.
- Cassandra database Administration on a Multi datacenter environment.
- Should have hands-on experience in setting up Cassandra cluster.
- Must have experience in Monitoring, Performance Tuning and Managing Cassandra cluster.
- Strong understanding of complex inner workings of Cassandra, such as the Gossip Protocol, Hinted Handoffs, Read Repairs, Merkle Trees.
- A deep understanding of Cassandra design principals, cluster connectivity, security and the factors that affect distributed system performance.
- Data processing\ETL experience of structured\unstructured data into Cassandra cluster through Cassandra export\import utility or Spark jobs.
- Experience with the following languages: Spark or bash will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on other NoSQL database like hbase will be an added advantage.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and debugging skills.
