Azure Technical Lead

Salary range: Rs 2000000 - Rs 4500000 (ie INR 20-45 LPA)

We are seeking a skilled Azure Technical Lead to architect, design, and implement scalable, cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure. The perfect candidate will possess deep expertise in Azure cloud services, data platforms, AI/GenAI technologies, containerization, and enterprise architecture. This position demands practical technical leadership, effective stakeholder management, and the capability to lead cloud transformation efforts throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive cloud solutions by utilizing Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure OpenAI.
• Architect and construct scalable Data and AI platforms by leveraging Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, and modern cloud-native design methodologies.
• Lead the design and deployment of enterprise-level applications ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and high performance.
• Champion containerization and orchestration efforts using Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
• Implement cloud security best practices through Azure Key Vault, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure Container Registry (ACR), and relevant governance frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineering groups to define technical roadmaps and solution strategies.
• Facilitate architecture reviews, lead technical discussions, and conduct solution design workshops.
• Mentor and support engineering teams in cloud architecture, DevOps methodologies, coding standards, and deployment processes.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs, enhance application performance, and improve operational efficiency.
• Support the organization’s cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines along with implementing DevOps best practices to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.
• Keep abreast of emerging Azure, AI, and cloud technologies and advocate for their adoption when appropriate.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Over 8 years of total IT experience, including more than 4 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including:
• Azure Functions
• Azure App Services
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Blob Storage
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure OpenAI
• Azure Key Vault
• Azure Container Registry (ACR)
• Experience working with Azure Databricks and Azure Machine Learning.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates is preferred.
• Proficient in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledgeable in API design, integration architecture, and developing cloud-native applications.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and driving cloud transformation projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Capability to translate business requirements into scalable and effective technical solutions.
• Experience in conducting architecture reviews and mentoring engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Microsoft Azure Certifications (preferred):
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Azure Administrator Associate
• Azure AI Engineer Associate
• Experience with GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and AI-driven applications.
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise cloud migration and modernization projects.
