Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our Global Product Engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and deploying innovative software solutions while contributing to the strategic evolution of our technology platforms.
The Global Product Engineering team at Iron Mountain works with our Globalscape platform to build high-quality, innovative software that complies with strict coding standards and technical design to support hybrid and corporate application frameworks.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:
Software Development: Develop and implement high-quality, innovative, and fully performing new software solutions that comply with established coding standards and technical designs.
Roadmap & Delivery: Contribute to the technical solution development roadmap, identifying and filling gaps to ensure solutions are developed on time, within budget, and up to quality standards.
Technical Standards: Ensure the ongoing implementation of technical standards, operational best practices, operating procedures, service levels, and technical documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with a wider team of software developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to communicate clearly, manage changes in priorities, and ensure successful delivery.
Business Value Alignment: Identify and implement engineering ideas that deliver direct value to the business while aligning software capabilities with both business goals and customer perspectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
Entry-level or foundational professional experience in software engineering within the Information Technology industry.
Strong knowledge of programming languages and frameworks including .NET, Python, Java, Spring (Core, Model-View-Controller, Java Database Connectivity), Hibernate/Java Database Connectivity/Java Persistence API/Object-Relational Mapping, and JSON.
Solid technical proficiency with SQL Server, writing structured SQL scripts, building Web Services (Simple Object Access Protocol and Representational State Transfer), and working with XSLT, XML, and AngularJS.
Proven ability in strong analytical problem-solving, exceptional attention to detail, organizational multitasking, and keeping current with the latest industry and technology developments.
A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
