Teams at Twilio

Lead the technical direction of Twilio Segment’s high-scale data platform and pipelines. Design fault-tolerant, cloud-native distributed systems, guide complex architectural decisions, optimize performance, cost, and reliability, and influence engineers and executives. Prototype and deploy AI and LLM solutions for data-processing challenges while mentoring teams and driving technical alignment across geographically distributed engineering organizations.

Provides 24/7 technical support to top-tier customers, troubleshooting REST APIs, cloud solutions, connectivity, and communications platforms. Collaborates with developers, architects, partners, Technical Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve complex issues, prioritize urgent tickets, meet short SLAs, and report reproducible bugs. The role requires shift and possible weekend or holiday coverage, strong customer communication, workflow optimization, and occasional travel for in-person meetings.

Build foundational AI and machine learning capabilities for Twilio’s Conversation Memory team. Responsibilities include researching LLM orchestration, retrieval, personalization, and autonomous agents; designing rapid experiments; and developing scalable, production-grade ML systems using cloud services, high-volume data, streaming, and real-time inference. The role also requires technical leadership through mentorship, design reviews, and engineering standards without formal management authority.
