Trainman is a train booking app, a Gurugram-based startup, which is an authorized IRCTC partner. Established in 2016, Trainman is an all-in-one train ticket booking platform that provides a one-stop solution for Booking Train Tickets online, for checking PNR status, and predicting 94% accuracy of Ticket confirmation status before booking on waitlisted tickets. Trainman has successfully raked in over Rs 100 crore in annual ticket sales with over 2.5 crore visits. Trainman is a profitable firm and it expects to see multifold growth in the coming years. Online train ticket booking startup Trainman, founded by IIT Roorkee graduates Vineet Chirania and Karan Kumar, has announced the closure of its seed round of funding after raising $1 million (Rs 7.5 crore) in July 2022 from marquee US investors like Goodwater Capital, Hem angels, and others. The round has also seen the participation of angel investors including Justin Hamilton and Ivy Growth Associates who are betting on Trainman’s huge growth potential after it doubled its revenue from pre-Covid times. The Gurugram-based startup had raised $250k (Rs. 2 crore) in November 2021 as parts of its seed round from ace investors like Vijay Aggarwal, CTO- BharatPe, Nitin Gupta, CEO- Mall 91, Vishal Kanodia (Director, Kanodia Cement Ltd.) and others. “Trainman has pioneered in offering innovative and effective industry solutions to help online train ticket booking become more flexible and agile. Emerging as a leading solutions provider in the industry, with over 10 million installations, Trainman delivers cost-effective services using a comprehensive back-end system to streamline the train ticket processes,” said Vineet Chirania, Founder & CEO, Trainman. Following the ace investors' maiden funding round, the founders are ready to enter new domains and are actively gearing up to find investors to increase investment in products and technology.
