Essential capabilities

Colleague centricity – appreciates the importance to enable Colleagues to grow, the UX and ensuring the digital system enables that the right skills and development interventions are supported.
Cross-Functional collaboration – able to work with Functional Learning and Talent SMEs to document and prioritise outcomes to deliver transparent integrated backlog.
Technical and data, internal consistency – ensure that the prioritised features integrate with implemented processes and solutions, which includes working with T&EO specialists and Business specialists
Strategic mindset – Can identify the future potential for products, able to influence decision makers as required.
Risk management & compliance – understanding the risk landscape and how to manage a product within frameworks and obligations (Products@NAB).
Problem solving – able to respond to customer queries and troubleshooting.
Planning and alignment – Ability to prioritise activities, understanding the detail required to deliver work and meet obligations.
Data and analytics – Understands how to present information to generate insights and as input into recommendations.

Qualification Requirements

Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Business and preference to post graduate qualifications
Agile Certifications desirable
P&C Workday Certifications  desirable

Experience

Minimum 12+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably in Learning and Talent focused projects (preferably Workday, Eightfold or any other equivalent platforms)
Demonstrated experience working with data engineering teams and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Experience working with AI or machine learning initiatives is highly desirable.
Creativity and simplifying complex processes and issues, problem solving and analysis
Background in facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews to elicit and validate requirements.
Exposure to agile delivery methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira,rally, Confluence).
Extensive experience working in an agile environment
Ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content
Ability to work closely with key stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships
Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for capturing and grooming requirements into epics, features, user stories and dependencies in collaboration with the squads that aligns with business requirements.
Perform analysis (scenario, policy, customer, data, gap, change, etc) in order to articulate business need and solution requirements.
Produce As Is and To Be Process Models
Develop process models, data models, business rules, target operating models, workflows, reporting and other required outputs
Ensure the Delivery and Development teams understand the value of each user story that is being delivered at the right time
Works with the Product Owner to understand, elicit, analyse, document and communicate business requirements and articulate product vision with a strong focus on value delivery
Assists the Product Owner to define and own the value definition of Stories, including facilitating and influencing the prioritisation of the backlog
Expert in translating end user / customer insights into Epics and Stories complete with Acceptance Criteria, which can easily be understood by the development Team and Traceable
Participates in and/or leads workshops.
Analyse the impact of proposed solutions holistically in order to produce Business Impact Assessments.
