This role sits at the intersection of application security, developer enablement, and data analytics, translating complex security and workflow data into clear, credible insights that demonstrate measurable improvement across the software development lifecycle.
The Value Data Analyst partners closely with customers and internal teams to analyze how developer training influences vulnerability reduction, flaw remediation, ticket resolution, and code quality, enabling organizations to clearly understand and communicate the value of secure coding practices at scale.
What You'll Do:
- Design and execute customer-facing case studies that demonstrate the relationship between developer training and improvements in application security workflows
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders—including AppSec, DevOps, Security Architecture, Training & Enablement, and Engineering leadership—to define meaningful KPIs and success criteria
- Translate quantitative findings and qualitative insights into compelling, executive-ready value narratives that resonate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Analyze SCW training, comprehension, and engagement data
- Build advanced data visualizations and dashboards that clearly communicate impact and insights
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize SCW training strategies based on observed upstream and downstream impacts
- Establish governance models and best practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and credibility in value measurement
- Contribute to internal enablement, external content, and strategic conversations that elevate SCW’s position as a leader in developer-driven security
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of strong experience in data analysis, analytics, or security metrics, ideally within application security, DevOps, or developer enablement environments
- Experience translating complex technical data into clear, actionable insights and executive-level narratives
- Comfort working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to leadership and customers
- Highly curious and detail-oriented, with a strong desire to understand how and why security improvements happen
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where it doesn’t yet exist
Highly Desirable
- Background in application security, secure software development, or DevSecOps
- Familiarity with common vulnerability management tools, CI/CD pipelines, and code repositories
- Experience developing customer case studies, value frameworks, or ROI models
- Exposure to security standards and frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST, CWE)
