System and Network Administrator (Linux):

Designations:

We have multiple requirements in Developers / ATLs/ Tls and Managerial levels, so this would depend upon the candidates past experiences and qualifications.

Job brief:

We are looking for a Systems & Network Administrator to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data. The candidate will also be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.

Responsibilities:

1. As a Systems and network engineer your day to day tasks involve remotely monitoring and maintaining our servers in various data centers  nationwide and in Sri Lanka.
          

2. You will also monitor and maintain network devices and Linux and Windows systems (desktops and servers) in our office.
         

3. You will also be assigned tasks to configure new systems or network devices like a new server, router or firewall and also reconfigure or make changes to existing servers like the Squid Proxy server or the mail servers etc. or make changes to network devices like firewalls etc.
          

4. You will get tremendous opportunity to learn new technologies and work on advanced and challenging assignments.

      

5. You will work on a variety of technologies which we utilize from different companies from Blade centers to SAN based clusters an advanced virtualized setups for servers along with advanced enterprise network devices from Juniper, Cisco, D-Link and other companies.
     

6. If you don't know certain technologies we provide you resources and time to learn and get up to speed.
     

7. Growth is based upon knowledge and skill.
       

Our Requirements:   

1. Bachelor degree from a reputable university or related field or equivalent military or industry experience   

2. Advanced degree from a reputable university or related field or equivalent military or industry experience   

3. Minimum 6 months experience in Red Hat Linux   

4. Red Hat Certification is required but not mandatory.

5. Minimum 1 years experience in networking (configuring firewalls, routers, managed switches) etc.   

6. CCNA is highly preferred 

7. Knowledge of KVM virtualization is preferred.

8. Must know how to configure Squid proxy, Sentmail and Dovecot servers, FTP server and Samba server.   

9. Knowledge of Linux shell scripting and crontab is required.

10. Experience with configuring and monitoring Juniper devices is a major plus but not a requirement.   

11. Must be able to work 2 night shifts a week.

Required experience: 1 years of experience in Linux System Administration .
