Information Security Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
- Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
Roles and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of foundational technology concepts, including but not limited to software development, system architecture, cloud platforms, integrationsand database management.
- Work on multiple platforms, with a focus on integrating different systems and ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
- Contribute to the design of scalable, secure, and efficient solutions, collaborating with senior engineers and architects.
- Write clean, maintainable code and assist in the development of software applications across various platforms.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and offer creative solutions to complex challenges in a timely manner.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, to ensure technology solutions align with business needs.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions and assist in mentoring junior team members as you grow into the architect role.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying new knowledge to improve processes and systems.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Core Technical Skills:
- Strong foundation in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) that include front and back end development
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understandingof database management and design (SQL, NoSQL, etc.).
- Understanding of system architecture, integration and design principles.
- Knowledge of best practices in design and development
Experience
- Previous experience working across multiple technology platforms.
- Proven track record in software development, system integration, and deployment.
- Experience with agile methodologies, version control (e.g., Git)and in working in environments following good DevOps principles.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
