Information Security Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Roles and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of foundational technology concepts, including but not limited to software development, system architecture, cloud platforms, integrationsand database management.  
• Work on multiple platforms, with a focus on integrating different systems and ensuring cross-platform compatibility.  
• Contribute to the design of scalable, secure, and efficient solutions, collaborating with senior engineers and architects.  
• Write clean, maintainable code and assist in the development of software applications across various platforms.  
• Troubleshoot technical issues and offer creative solutions to complex challenges in a timely manner.  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, to ensure technology solutions align with business needs.  
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions and assist in mentoring junior team members as you grow into the architect role.  
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying new knowledge to improve processes and systems.  

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

• Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).  
• Core Technical Skills: 
• Strong foundation in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) that include front and back end development 
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.  
• Understandingof database management and design (SQL, NoSQL, etc.).  
• Understanding of system architecture, integration and design principles.  
• Knowledge of best practices in design and development   

Experience

• Previous experience working across multiple technology platforms.  
• Proven track record in software development, system integration, and deployment.  
• Experience with agile methodologies, version control (e.g., Git)and in working in environments following good DevOps principles. 
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
