Provide day-to-day technical leadership to operations team managing multiple critical applications hosted on Mainframe. Proactively monitor and collaborate with Operations and
cross-commit teams on daily basis in solving issues and problems to avoid business impacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 level support to multiple batch and online applications executing on the mainframe.
- Provide technical leadership to the team ensuring all critical SLAs for batch applications are being met on daily basis.
- Collaborate with BAU team to get the open production issues reported and fixed as soon as possible.
- Actively participate in design/code walkthrough and review sessions and provide necessity feedback as well.
- Partner with the cross-commit, development and business teams to ensure quality solutions are being provided for any problem brought to the team.
- Contribute and lead the team towards optimization, process improvement, documentation, knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of overall hands-on experience in support and development roles in IBM Mainframe.
- Strong working knowledge COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, CICS, NDM/FTP
- Experience working on mainframe tools such as file manager, fault analyzer, job schedulers, CHGMAN
- Strong communication skills
Working knowledge of AWS Datalake, ETL and incident management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA will be added advantage
