Nokia's Fixed Network Broadband Device Business Unit is seeking a talented Digital Hardware Engineer to drive the design, development, and qualification of electrical equipment for our Fiber ONT RGs, Wifi APs, Wifi Beacons, and Cloud-based Mesh solutions. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to ensure the reliability and performance of our next-generation broadband devices, impacting millions of users worldwide. NIFN2026
Responsibilities- Work with various engineering and project teams to design, troubleshoot, modify, and run qualification testing for various electrical equipment under development.
- Design, test, and troubleshoot circuits such as Processors and Wifi Radios for various electrical equipment.
- Select and assess the suitability and reliability of electronic components.
- Maintain comprehensive product documentation.
- Interact with Application, Software, and other Electronic Engineers to meet customer/system requirements for hardware designs.
- Prototype electronic circuits and meticulously documenting measurements and results.
- Review and approve electrical documentation, including schematics, assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and PCB layouts.
- Perform failure analysis of electronic circuits, issuing reports on findings, and recommending opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Assist other members of the hardware group and/or project teams and support factory production line testing remotely and on-site.
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 6+ years of industry experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on hardware design experience with strong knowledge of the complete hardware product development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation tools, and hardware debugging.
- Strong experience using laboratory test equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Analyzers, and DC Power Supplies.
- Expertise in RF, wireless, and digital communication circuits, including transmitters, receivers, RF concepts, and antenna systems.
- Knowledge of global certification and compliance standards (CE, ETSI, ANSI, FCC, ANATEL, NORM) with experience supporting and troubleshooting hardware during certification testing.
