ROLE
As a Tech Lead , you are a senior individual contributor responsible for leading the design and delivery of impactful systems and features. You will own the technical direction of medium-to-large initiatives, drive alignment through well-structured design documentation, and mentor engineers to raise the overall engineering bar. This role requires balancing hands-on development with system-level thinking, ensuring high standards of quality, scalability, security, and maintainability across the platform.
In this role you can expect to:
- Own end-to-end technical design for medium to large features and systems
- Drive architecture decisions with clear trade-off analysis (performance, scalability, cost, maintainability)
- Author and review design documents to ensure alignment across teams
- Ensure systems are built with strong foundations in reliability, observability, and security Execution & Delivery
- Contribute hands-on to the codebase as part of every release.
- Lead execution of complex projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Break down ambiguous requirements into clear, executable tasks
- Ensure engineering best practices across development, testing, and deployment Code Quality & Engineering Excellence
- Enforce coding standards, design principles, and review practices
- Drive improvements in CI/CD, testing strategy, and release quality
- Ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and production-ready Mentorship & Team Development
- Mentor and guide engineers to improve technical depth and ownership
- Provide actionable feedback through code reviews and technical discussions
- Help onboard new engineers and elevate overall team capability Collaboration & Alignment
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to refine requirements
- Drive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces through structured thinking
- Ensure alignment across teams on technical decisions and priorities AI-Assisted Development
- Leverage AI coding tools to improve development velocity and quality
- Ensure responsible usage without compromising system design or code integrity
Technical Leadership & Design
To be successful in this role you bring:
- Education: BE/B.Tech/MCA
- 6–8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in at least one core language/technology stack
- Solid experience building scalable, cloud-native applications
- Proven experience leading complex features or systems end-to-end
- Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and architecture patterns
- Experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical decisions
- Ability to write clear design documents and communicate technical ideas effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on pragmatic trade-offs
- Experience with modern development practices (CI/CD, testing, observability)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) and their effective usage
