What you'll do...

The Staff Product Manager in Corporate Communications is responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions that enhance the company's internal and external communications, while ensuring these solutions align with Walmart's technology strategy and vision.

About Team: Global Tech- Corporate Communications

The Global Technology- Corporate Communications Team is a vital part of Walmart's corporate communications program, providing cutting-edge technology solutions to support the company's internal and external communications efforts. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining innovative digital platforms, tools, and systems that enable effective communication and collaboration across the organization. With a focus on efficiency, creativity, and customer experience, the Global Technology Team drives the use of technology to advance Walmart's communications strategy and enhance the company's reputation. By leveraging their expertise in technology and communication, the team helps Walmart tell its story and connect with stakeholders in a dynamic and engaging way.


What you'll do:

  • Understanding business objectives and translating them into technical requirements that drive business results 
  • Working with business stakeholders to understand business objectives and refine problem statements to ensure that the technology solutions meet the needs of the business.
  • Collaborating with design to ensure that user experience is considered at every step of the product development process.
  • Ensuring that requirements are properly defined and technology solutions are developed in partnership with engineering to meet the needs of the business.
  • Working with all stakeholders to ensure that value-based prioritization is used to influence the work we commit to, in order to maximize business impact 

What you'll bring:

1. Business Acumen: The candidate should possess a deep understanding of business objectives and be able to translate them into technical requirements that drive business results. They should be able to refine problem statements and ensure that technology solutions meet the needs of the business.

2. Collaboration and Communication Skills: The candidate should be able to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including business, design, and engineering teams, to ensure that user experience is considered at every step of the product development process. Strong communication skills are essential to ensure that requirements are properly defined and technology solutions are developed in partnership with engineering to meet the needs of the business.

3. User-Centric Mindset: The candidate should have a user-centric mindset and be able to ensure that user experience is considered at every step of the product development process. They should be able to work with design to ensure that technology solutions are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs of the target audience.

4. Data-Driven Decision Making: The candidate should be able to use data to make informed decisions and prioritize features and requirements that deliver the most value to the business.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in product management. Option 2: 9 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Preferred Qualifications...

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 6 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
