About the role

The Netskope Risk Insights team delivers complex, distributed and hybrid cloud systems that provide customers with a multidimensional view of the applications, devices and users on their network. We illuminate unsanctioned and unsupported applications and devices and track user behavior so customers can visualize and create policies to minimize risk. Risk analysis, policy enforcement, compliance and audit mechanisms are some customer use cases we satisfy.
The team owns a scalable, cloud-managed on-prem and public cloud platform that hosts customer facing data plane and log parsing services. Thus, extending the Netskope cloud to the customer data center and public cloud environments.
What’s in it for you:In the Risk Insights team, you will wear multiple hats of technical leader, influencer and mentor. You will be part of a growing engineering team focused on building cloud and on-prem services in the SaaS and IaaS space. Be an owner in a geographically distributed organization, partner with the Netskope business and interact with external customers. You will have opportunities to bridge the gap between cloud and on-prem solutions while evaluating and adopting new technologies.
What you will be doing:- Be a technical leader, mentor and inspiration to the team, fostering a culture of ownership, trust, innovation and continuous improvement
- Active participant in all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for existing and future services/products in the private & public clouds and on-premises.
- Enable strong CI/CD environments with efficient development and scalable automation frameworks
- Developing test platforms to allow services to scale with high-quality and reliability
- Creating, influencing, and improving our test tooling, infrastructure, standards, and methods to ensure we can achieve scalability and high reliability
- Be a proponent of a Customer-First approach
- Be a vocal owner of the services/products you work on while focusing on performance, availability, diagnostics, monitoring, security, etc.
- Build microservices, abstraction layers, APIs and platforms to make the hybrid and multi-cloud footprint low latency, cost efficient and customer friendly
- Developing and sharing best practices with our engineering team to improve automation and efficiency.
- Increasing observability of the product to help other engineers diagnose and fix issues.
- Leading and mentoring your peers as we grow the organization
- Participating in rotation of production deployment
- Participating with the dev teams in a 12X7 on-call rotations to provide infrastructure point-of-view support.
- 8+ years of demonstrable experience building services/products
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Demonstrable experience balancing business and engineering priorities
- Comfortable with ambiguity and taking initiative to find and solve problems
- Demonstrate a high EQ, be confident under pressure, win the trust of peers and negotiate skillfully
- Experience contributing in a geographically distributed environment across various time zones
- Active programmer in Python, Go, C/C++, etc.
- Experience designing scalable services leveraged by millions of clients
- Experience working with and/or building automation frameworks
- Experience in designing/building REST services
- Strong background in designing distributed, scalable services with monitoring and alerting systems
- Experience working with CI/CD environments, automation frameworks
- Experience in designing and building RESTful services
- Knowledge of and proficiency in deploying common industry test/build/CICD/Infrastructure as code tools and technology
- Experience building and debugging software on Linux platforms
- Experience in building pipelines and automations using AI Assisted technologies
- Experience working with docker, kubernetes (K8s), public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
Education:
- B.tech or equivalent required, Masters or equivalent strongly preferred
