THE ROLE
TripArc's ADX platform is the daily booking tool for thousands of North American travel advisors. While a dedicated team builds the next generation of the platform, this pod makes sure what exists today keeps getting better — faster, more reliable, and more responsive to the people using it.
This is a Senior Front-End Application Developer who combines architectural thinking with a UX designer’s mindset — someone passionate about building elegant, scalable, and high-performance user experiences that empower our travel experts and partners. The work is varied by design: one sprint you're untangling a payment flow, creating friction at checkout, the next you're building out 24/7 service upgrade capabilities, the next you're improving how features behave under load. No two months look the same — and that's the point.
You won't be waiting for detailed specs or step-by-step directions. You'll investigate problems, propose solutions, scope your own work in collaboration with Product and QA, and ship. The platform runs at real volume — your code goes into production, and advisors notice when it's better.
HOW WE BUILD
We expect every developer on this team to use AI coding tools — GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, whatever fits your flow — as a standard part of how you develop. Not as an experiment, and not as a replacement for engineering judgment. We move faster because of these tools, and we ship with confidence because of the quality gates, code review culture, and testing discipline that sit alongside them. If you've figured out how to get real leverage from AI-assisted development without cutting corners on quality, you'll fit right in here.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Advisor-facing feature enhancements across existing ADX — payment workflows, service configuration, quoting and booking improvements
- Design, architect, and build high-quality, scalable front-end applications using Angular, React, and Next.js, integrated with modern APIs.
- Frontend contributions: Angular components and workflows within the existing ADX MFE shell
- Bring a strong UX and design systems perspective, collaborating with design partners to translate high-fidelity Figma prototypes (and Figma Make workflows) into performant, accessible, and responsive experiences.
- Push CSS to its limits — from advanced layout techniques and animations to custom design tokens and theming — creating a best-in-class, maintainable UI foundation.
- Work closely with architects and product managers to plan, estimate, and deliver high-impact features and platform improvements.
- Define and enforce front-end best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools that enhance developer productivity, performance, and design collaboration.
- Platform reliability and supportability — fixing what's brittle, documenting what's unclear, improving what slows the team down
- Cross-platform integrations: working across ADX, TSP, and connected services to deliver features that span the stack
- Sprint-based delivery with direct input on scope and estimates — you'll help define what's buildable, not just execute what's handed to you
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of professional experience developing single-page applications (SPAs) in production environments — you make good architectural decisions without needing guidance
- SQL Server fluency: complex queries, stored procedures, schema navigation in a system built over the years
- Deep expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and MFE architecture.
- Proven fluency in modern CSS (SCSS, CSS variables, responsive design systems, and Material Design 3 / custom design tokens).
- Proficiency in Figma, from design handoff and prototyping to systemized component creation, and hands-on experience with Figma Make or similar automation tooling.
- Solid understanding of front-end architecture, state management, and performance optimization in large-scale web applications.
- Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfort working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, QA, and Backend).
- Comfort working in a mature, high-volume platform where changes have real downstream effects
- You use AI development tools — Copilot, Claude, etc. — as standard workflow, not novelty
Nice to have: React, Next.js, MongoDB, Docker/Kubernetes, Azure Pipelines, NServiceBus, .NET APIs, and Azure DevOps.
HOW YOU WORK
You're a self-starter, problem solver who thinks like a designer and codes like an engineer and finds satisfaction in clean, well-scoped delivery. You don't need a blank canvas to do great work — you find the interesting problem inside the practical request and solve it properly. You communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, keep your documentation honest, and take pride in shipping things that hold up.
You're collaborative without being dependent. When you're stuck, you ask; when a teammate is stuck, you help. You treat code reviews as a craft conversation, not a gatekeeping exercise.
THE TECH
.NET Core · Angular · Figma · Azure Service Bus · Azure Pipelines · Docker · Redis · GraphQL · Entity Framework · MongoDB · RabbitMQ · JIRA · Confluence
WHY THIS ROLE
The Features pod is what keeps TripArc's advisor network moving while the platform evolves. It's high-ownership, high-visibility work on a system that matters to real people every day. If you'd rather ship ten meaningful improvements a quarter than spend six months on a spec that hasn't launched yet — this team is for you.
