Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Intelligence team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data models and analytical assets that power reporting and self-service analytics across the organization. You will play a key role in strengthening our BI ecosystem by partnering closely with data platforms, and product teams to deliver high-quality, governed, and performant datasets and dashboards, while upholding best practices and standards..

What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into functional requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Build and optimize Tableau dashboards and KPI frameworks with a focus on performance, usability, governance, and row-level security.
- Ensure data consistency and quality in reports by working closely with the data management team.
- Apply best practices in dbt modeling, testing, version control, and release management to ensure high-quality, maintainable pipelines.
- Perform data analysis and ad-hoc queries to support business decision-making.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies.
What you’ll need:
Must-haves
- 6+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering, preferably in healthcare or another data-rich, regulated domain.
- Self-starter, able to work independently, able to succeed in a fast-paced, high intensity start-up environment
- Excellent english communication skills, with proven ability to create & deliver the results of analyses to non-technical audiences
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong hands-on experience with analytics engineering frameworks such as dbt.
- Strong experience with Tableau (Cloud and Desktop), including dashboard development, row-level security, performance optimization, and basic administration.
- Experience working with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Experience working in AWS-based data platforms.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with dbt or with similar tools
- Experience with Python.
- Exposure to additional BI platforms such as Power BI, Sisense, or open-source BI tools.
- Experience supporting dashboard embedding and integration into web applications.
- Background in healthcare payer analytics, utilization management, or clinical workflows.
- Previous experience working in a global model
