Summary / Purpose of PositionChubb Life Global is seeking a highly skilled and innovative data architect to serve as the Head of Data Model & Design, a key leadership role responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions that support the organization’s Azure-based data platform. This role will focus on defining a Common Data Model (CDM) using industry standards like ACORD and ensuring that data product models are optimized to meet the needs of the business. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.LocationHyderabadDuties and Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions for the Azure-based data platform, leveraging tools such as Databricks and Snowflake.
- Common Data Model (CDM): Define and implement a Common Data Model (CDM) using industry standards such as ACORD to ensure consistency, interoperability, and reusability of data assets across the organization.
- Data Product Models: Collaborate with business and technical teams to design data product models that meet specific business requirements and drive value across the insurance value chain.
- Data Integration: Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to regional data teams, ensuring alignment with global standards and best practices.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data models and solutions to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure that data architecture aligns with strategic goals and delivers measurable business impact.
Bachelor or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, MBA, Information Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in data architecture, modelling, or design, with a strong focus on the insurance industry.
Expertise in Azure-based platforms, including Databricks and Snowflake.
Deep understanding of industry standards like ACORD for data modelling and interoperability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design solutions for complex business challenges.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment on technical solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
