As a Software Engineer III - Python + AWS Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Markets Technology Team, you'll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities :
- Support BAU and enhancement
- Own the development of parts of the strategic applications.
- Review peer code quality, follow established SDLC and project governance processes.
- Build close business relationships with the stakeholders and manage business delivery.
- Work closely with other tech and business teams within and outside Credit, PF & CPG Lending.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Strong OO programming concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Python.
- Creative, quick-thinking, pragmatic, with an aptitude for solving problems.
- Proven organizational skills, decisive priority management with a commercial mindset, strong teamwork ethic, excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills :
- Experience with C++ on Linux and Windows, AWS, Perl scripting, Excel/VBA
- RDBMS like Oracle or MySQL and strong database concepts
- Qualified to degree level in Computer Science, Math or related science discipline
- Credit SME or SME for another complex financial asset class
- 1 year or more of software engineering experience in a Front Office capacity
- Curiosity to learn the Credit business and products
