WHAT YOU’LL D

The Software Engineer is responsible to design, code, and/or configure solutions for moderate complexity Agile stories, and to create conceptual design/architecture for small scale software solutions.

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on the Azure platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Work closely with architects to ensure seamless interaction of architectural components, meeting requirements and performance goals.
  • Implement best practices for cloud application development, focusing on scalability, security, and performance optimization.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using .Net frameworks.
  • Expert in Object-oriented design, .NET (preferred).
  • Utilize Azure services such as Azure APIM, Kubernetes, Azure App Service, Azure Key Vault, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage etc. for application development and deployment.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot applications deployed on Azure, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Experience building monitoring, alerting, and observability for maintaining high customer SLAs for SaaS delivered products.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, and/or related field.
  • Total Work Experience:  10+ years (software development), 6 years minimum
  • Leadership Experience: 2 years minimum, 4 years preferred

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • 7 to 10 years of comprehensive experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on cloud-native application development.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in real-world enterprise product development
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure Cloud services and platform capabilities.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, Jenkins) and infrastructure automation.
  • Strong experience with database development with SQL Server. Experience with advanced queries, stored procedures is expected.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a cloud environment.
  • Proficient in developing with test automation frameworks such as JUnit, JMeter, Selenium/Nightwatch JS, or similar tools.
  • Working experience with Code Quality tools like Sonar or Snyk is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Adept at managing deadlines, effective communication within a team, and capable of operating independently with guidance when necessary.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience in the Insurance domain is considered an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Duck Creek Policy/Billing/Claims product is considered an added advantage.

Travel: 0-10%

Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
