  • Support live applications by implementing monitoring, ensuring rapid incident resolution, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Proactively review code, foster a culture of quality, and mentor team members.

  • Strengthen and drive our engineering process with TDD and BDD, Microservice, and Vertical Slice Architectures.

  • Develop CI/CD pipelines and contribute to deployment automation.

  • Adapt to new technologies and frameworks while navigating the challenges of working in the highly regulated payments domain.

Experience you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.

  • Demonstrated understanding of core Computer Science concepts, such as object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.

  • Expertise in backend development, particularly with Java, Spring Boot, building and optimizing RESTful APIs, writing and tuning SQL for relational databases, and utilizing automated testing frameworks.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for continuous learning.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Event-driven architecture and tools like Kafka (preferred)

    • Cloud deployment and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (preferred)

    • CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Argo CD (preferred)

    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform (preferred)

  • Knowledge of encryption schemes, API security, and compliance requirements in regulated environments. (preferred)
