Shopify Developer
We are looking for an experienced Shopify Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in building, maintaining, and optimizing Shopify stores, ensuring seamless performance and exceptional user experiences.
What You Do:
- Develop and maintain Shopify 2.0 themes using Liquid, JSON templates, SCSS, and ES6.
- Implement and customize apps such as Locksmith, Flow, Klaviyo, and ReCharge to enhance store functionality.
- Create wholesale/B2B features, including price lists, customer tags, draft orders, and quick-order flows.
- Optimize website performance, SEO, and accessibility for enhanced user engagement.
- Integrate with external services using Storefront/Admin GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Manage Git-based deployment pipelines, performing code reviews and maintaining effective documentation.
- Utilize Shopify Functions and Checkout extensibility for discounts, shipping, and validation needs.
- Conduct rigorous testing, including unit/snapshot tests, Theme Check, and comprehensive cross-device/browser quality assurance.
- Collaborate proactively with designers, marketers, and operations teams to ensure project success.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in Shopify development.
- Expertise in Liquid, including sections, snippets, filters, and Online Store 2.0 JSON templates.
- Proficiency with Shopify CLI v3 for theme management and Theme Check linting tools.
- Strong skills in semantic HTML5 and responsive CSS/SCSS design.
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), familiarity with Alpine.js and basic React (Hydrogen).
- Experience with consuming Admin & Storefront GraphQL APIs and setting up webhooks.
- Proven ability to optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, TBT) and perform audits for app bloat using tools like Lighthouse and Theme Inspector.
- Competence in implementing SEO best practices, including JSON-LD, structured data, and meta objects.
- Familiarity with Git feature-branch workflow, PR reviews, and light CI pipelines using GitHub Actions or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Experience with automation tools like Shopify Flow and integrating apps like Klaviyo, Recharge, Locksmith, and Search & Discovery.
- Ability to hand off from design tools like Figma/Zeplin for pixel-perfect implementation.
