Senior Wireless Engineer

Job Summary & Responsibilities

• Must have experience designing and deploying Juniper Mist wireless solutions
• Thorough understanding of the 802.11 protocol and amendments
• 5-7+ years' experience in wireless network engineering
• 5-7+ years' experience in wired network engineering
• Experience designing and deploying Cisco AireOS and IOS XE (Catalyst 9800) wireless solutions
• Experience designing and deploying Cisco Embedded Wireless Controller (EWC)
• Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise)
• Ekahau Certification (ECSE Design, ECSE Troubleshooting, ECSE Advanced)
• Must have excellent communication skills, writing skills, and the ability to work with team members at all levels

Preferred Qualifications• Design and deployment of on-premises and cloud-managed enterprise wireless solutions for customers across the Commercial, Healthcare, Government, and Manufacturing verticals • Design and deployment of advanced wireless solutions including voice, real-time location services (RTLS), and outdoor mesh • Design and deployment of wireless security solutions including rogue detection and WIDS/WIPS • Produce RF designs, perform RF assessments, and troubleshoot wireless networks using spectrum analysis, protocol analysis, and packet capture • Solid understanding and experience with wired networking protocols in support of wireless services (e.g., 802.1Q, DHCP, IP routing, etc.) • Solid understanding of AAA, 802.1X, and RADIUS as it pertains to enterprise wireless services • Solid understanding of wireless QoS for wireless voice and media services • Develop detailed network diagrams and low-level design documentation
