Your New Role:

• Leading, Coaching & mentoring of team to uplift skills and knowledge to perform their role
• Engage in hands-on development to balance workload or address significant complexity through technical Proof of Concepts, build, test including non-functional areas like security, reliability and performance
• Detail the technology roadmap
• Triage new demand and ensures enough technology guidance exists at high level to initiate work and lead design activities.
• Ensure that technical designs meet functional, resilience, throughput, security, reuse and simplicity needs.
• Maintain an understanding of ‘Best practice’ initiatives within own specialist area, and IT in general by continually seeking out relevant industry and technical knowledge. Improve on professional skills by completing necessary development activities
• Coaching & mentoring of team to uplift skills and knowledge
• Conform with all internal operating procedures relevant to the position

What will you bring:

• It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience
• 15+ years Technology experience
• 12+ years in application development
• Managed large scale data solution deliveries with multiple stakeholders
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud data engineering domain with benchmark certifications preferably in AWS cloud and Databricks and having the following/equivalent certifications:
• AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate/professional
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/professional
• Implementations of enterprise data architectures for real time, near real time and batch based with ability to design solutions in
• Enthusiasm for technology, keeping up with world on implementations & best practices followed
• Exposure to Generative AI solution design usecases to enable the same across enterprise using data
• Solid experience, knowledge and skills in Data Engineering, BI/software development such as ELT/ETL, data extraction and manipulation in Data Lake/Data Warehouse/Lake House environment.
• Knowledge of Data Modelling techniques and practices used for a Data Warehouse/Data Mart application.
• Good knowledge  on cloud-based solution design, configuration and development experience with Azure/AWS - Jenkins, Airflow, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Big Data.
• Software delivery technical experience with CI/CD, Automated Deployments, Automated Testing, Build Servers, Software / Source Code Configuration Management
• Experience with platform automation tools (DB Management, AWS, Jenkins, GITHUB)
• Ability to articulate complex technical issues and desired outcomes of system enhancements
• Experience in providing technology client service preferably in financial industry domain
