Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Makati, Philippines. As a key member of our Test Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through the design, development, and implementation of automated testing solutions.
Your key tasks
- Develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and best practices
- Design, implement, and execute automated test cases for web, mobile, and API testing
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the team
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in test automation
- Contribute to the development of testing strategies aligned with project goals and timelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation
- At least 3 years of experience in using different test automation tools (Cypress, Selenium, Appium)
- Proven expertise in building and designing automated test frameworks from the ground up
- High proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Typescript
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Cypress, Appium, and Jest
- Has knowledge of Unix/Linux environment with shell scripting
- Has experience with design patterns and OO design as applied to test code and frameworks
- Adept in Test Automation Principles and Frameworks (at least 3 from JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine, Karma, JBehave, Serenity BDD, Gradle, Maven, Node)
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
- Has API testing experience (with preference on Jest and Postman)
- Preferably has background on Static Code Analysis (SonarQube as a tool)
- Preferably has experience on Microservices architecture (Containerization, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, etc.
It would be a real bonus if you have (max. 3 bullet points)
- ISTQB certification is a plus
