Lead testing strategies for WiFi/WFA products, ensuring quality and compliance with standards by utilizing testing tools and automation frameworks.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Specialist to lead and contribute to our WiFi/WFA product testing efforts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of our products, utilizing their expertise in testing guidelines, network protocols, and RF antenna specifications. With a strong background in IEEE 802.11 standards and hands-on experience with testing tools, the Senior Technical Specialist will be a key asset to our team.
Responsibilities- Lead and execute comprehensive testing strategies for WiFi/WFA products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and guidelines.
- Utilize testing tools such as Spirent for traffic simulation and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement test automation frameworks using Python and Shell scripting, with a focus on Robot and Selenium frameworks.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing innovative solutions to enhance product performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product development and testing.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in WiFi/WFA technologies, IEEE 802.11 standards, and network protocols.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Prepare detailed test reports, documenting test cases, results, and recommendations for product enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing process.
You have
- Bachelor's degree or above in telecommunication, electronic engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 12-15 years of experience in WiFi/WFA product testing, with a strong understanding of testing guidelines and methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) and related network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Hands-on experience with testing/traffic simulation tools, preferably Spirent.
- Proficiency in test automation, with practical knowledge of Python and Shell scripting for automation development.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Robot and Selenium is highly preferred.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of innovative solutions.
- Good understanding of RF antenna specifications and their impact on WiFi/WFA product performance.
- Working knowledge of GPON technologies is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
